Good news. My buddy, who owns the foosball table under the bridge, was able to pay a 50 Br. fine at the police station in order to get his table back. Again, I’m not in tune with the details of the law here, but I am still highly skeptical of this fine. There were numerous other foosball tables that the police left as they were.
I was thrilled, all the same, to see my friend back at it again. I only stopped by his table briefly, to ask how he got his table back and say hello, for fear of bringing unwanted attention. I can only hope that the attention I attracted while playing at his table in previous weeks was not what encouraged the police to act as they did. Nevertheless, in the future I’ll probably enjoy the foosball by watching from a distance.
